'WORD DEVOTIONAL'
"Your Word gives light to my steps as I walk Your path."
 Psalms 119:105

Theme:
'THE RELENTLESS PURSUIT IN COMMITMENT & DEDICATION!'

Focus:
'What does being dedicated require of us?'

Scripture:
"And Jesus said...Anyone who's begun My work and let himself become distracted with things of the world is not fit for the kingdom of God.' 'Whatever we do is certainly not of our own because Christ's love controls us now."

Luke 9:62; II Corinth. 5:19

Being dedicated should be easy right? We love the Lord dearly, He is our everything, we’d be nothing without Him, He supplies all of our needs…being dedicated to Him should be easy! Then why do we find ourselves having to ‘rededicate’ our lives, ourselves to Him again and again? What does ‘being dedicated’ require of us? The word dedicate itself means to ‘devote, commit, give or surrender.’ These words put us in remembrance of wedding vows; to devote or give our self solely to another in love and loyalty is what being dedicated means. And this is what we do when we’re dedicated in our commitment to the Lord! We put nothing before Him, we sacrifice our fleshly needs for His will, we’re careful of our words, actions and behavior that they’re in line with His Word. The bottom line is we do whatever it takes to be dedicated to the Lord! “What shall separate us from the love of God? For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from His love.” Romans 8:35 & 38

                         Building Blocks for Godly Character
'Being dedicated is easy if we truly love God above all else!'

'Staying dedicated to our commitment is the way we thank Christ for the sacrifice He made for us!

  EMPOWERMENT AFFECTS FAITH
When we empower ourselves with the Word of God, we affect our faith! Nothing empowers us but the Word of God
,
so the more of it we take in the more empowered we're going to be. Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the Word of God is full of power: it is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting swift and deep into our innermost thoughts and desires with all their parts, exposing us for what we really are." The Word of God is going to show us those fleshly increments hidden within our character that need to be rooted out so that we mature to the place that God has purposed for us. When we take the Word into our being by hearing it, reading it, speaking it and most importantly obeying we empower ourselves. As an added plus, when we strengthen and fortify our faith, it enables us to be stable in our tests and in all the other areas of our life.
'Fill up on the Word and watch your faith grow!'

"Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen."
Hebrews 11:1
  OUR PRAYER FOR THIS NATION
'Father, in the name of Jesus, we honor and give You all glory; we reverence You as King of kings and Lord of lords, for there is none but you! God we offer You our prayer petitions for our friends, loved ones and others engaged in this war. We trust You to keep Your watchful all-seeing eyes over those who have been summoned to take part in this difficult time. God keep Your arms of protection shielded about them as they defend us. Dispatch extra warring and guardian angels in their behalf so they are kept safe at all times. Return them to us, who love them dearly and wait patiently in faith.' Amen

"..But in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."
Philippians 4:6

  WHILE WE'RE
IN PREPARATION

Sometimes God uses us to help or draw others while we are 'yet in preparation ourselves.' We think that we have to be perfect before God uses us to help others, we feel we're not worthy because we're yet making mistakes our self. 'How could God want to use me?'
The way God can use you is because He sees what you're going to be for His glory. He knows what you are going to become and He orchestrates the things in your life according to the finished product you're going to be. The majority of us don't see ourselves the way God sees us so we can't know or understand all that He has purposed for us, but we just realize that we must trust Him in whatever He deems is best for us.

'God you know all that I am and all that I'm not and You still chose me to use for Your glory.'

'The more Word you get, the greater your empowering!'
